Der Belag
The toppings
board
Four ways to dress a link, $1.50 apiece. One is traditional, one is molten, two bring the peppers.
The rule
Kraut belongs
on everything
Sauerkraut is not a garnish — it is the sharp, sour answer to a rich grilled sausage, and the reason the combination has survived several centuries of German lunches.
Everything after that is preference, and we will not argue with you about it.
What goes where
- Sauerkraut — bratwurst, knackwurst, anything rich and smoky.
- Sweet pepper — the Italian and Hungarian links love it.
- Spicy pepper — for stacking heat on the Andouille or Jalapeño Cheddar.
- Pretzel cheese — wieners, wedges, and anyone having a hard week.
