We open at 10 am every day of the week without exception. Sunday to Thursday we close at 11:45 pm; Friday and Saturday the kitchen keeps running until 2 am.

Parking, transit, and the walk in
Driving
Street parking on W California Ave and the surrounding blocks, plus public structures a short walk away in downtown Glendale. Weekend evenings fill up — arrive earlier and park closer.
Transit
Downtown Glendale is well served by local bus lines along Brand Boulevard, and we are a short walk from the Americana at Brand.
On foot
If you are already downtown, you are already close. The whole district is walkable and we are on the ground floor with the door on California.
Accessibility
Step-free access at the entrance and accessible seating inside. If you need us to hold a particular table, call ahead and we will keep one.
With a group
Long shared tables mean groups usually fit without notice. Over twenty people, give us a few days and we will set a section aside.
With children
Very welcome. A wurstery is a family room in Germany, not a bar — smaller portions available and a high tolerance for noise.
The patio
Outdoor seating for sun, dogs on leads and anyone who likes their bier with fresh air. First come, first seated — same as inside.
What the room is like
Order at the counter, take any free seat, and we bring the food out when it comes off the grill. Nothing is cooked before you ask for it, so a busy Friday means a short wait and a genuinely hot plate.
The seating is communal by design. On a full night you will end up next to people you did not arrive with, which is how it works in Germany and is most of the reason the room is worth sitting in.
There is also an outdoor patio — sausage and cold bier in the Glendale sun, which is a luxury actual German beer gardens get about eight weeks a year.
It gets loud. That is not an apology.

Nearby
Minutes from most of northeast LA
Downtown Glendale sits where the 134, the 2 and the 5 meet, which makes us an easy run from most of the neighbourhoods around us. Times are off-peak, traffic permitting.
Burbank
About ten minutes down the 5 or straight along Glenoaks. The closest real German sausage to the studios.
Pasadena
Roughly fifteen minutes west on the 134. Worth the drive for a Käsekrainer; the Märzen settles the argument.
Atwater Village & Los Feliz
Ten to fifteen minutes up San Fernando Road or Los Feliz Blvd. The patio is your reward.
Eagle Rock & Highland Park
A quick hop west on the 134. Closer than most of the taprooms you already drive to.
Montrose & La Crescenta
Straight down the 2 — about ten minutes. We are the bottom of the hill, with bier.
North Hollywood & the Valley
Fifteen to twenty minutes on the 134. Late kitchen Friday and Saturday means the drive back is earned.
